About
CEO to CEO
Left Seat exists because I couldn't hire it. I run a national company — $800M+ in revenue, a real P&L, payroll every two weeks, a board, lenders, the whole seat. Like every CEO I know, I got more reporting every year and less clarity. The departments each explained themselves fine. Nobody explained the business.
So I built the thing I wanted: an AI operating system wired into how I actually run the company. My numbers, my decisions log, my operating rhythm — structured so the analysis comes to me in plain English, on schedule, with the contradictions surfaced instead of smoothed over. I've run my company on it every day since. It changed the quality of my attention — what I see, what I question, what I stop worrying about.
Left Seat brings that install to other CEOs — as an outside partner, on your tools, built so your team owns it when I leave. Not because the software is exotic (it isn't; you already own most of it), but because the difference between an AI experiment and an AI operating system is operator judgment about what a CEO actually needs to see. That part doesn't come from a vendor. It comes from someone who holds the same seat you do.
WHY THE NAME IS MISSING
Confidential in both directions
I'm a sitting CEO. This practice is separate from my company, and I keep it that way deliberately — which means this site doesn't carry my name or my industry. The record is real: the revenue and P&L figures on the Operator Record are accurate and current. You'll know exactly who I am in the first five minutes of the preflight call, and everything you tell me is held to the same standard I'm asking of you. Most CEOs arrive here the way you probably did — someone who knows me told them to call. That's the model.
WHAT AN ENGAGEMENT IS LIKE
Small on purpose
One active engagement at a time. A handful of advisory clients. No bench, no juniors, no leverage model. You get the principal every time, and I take on work only when I can deliver it with the attention a CEO's business deserves.
Because capacity is small, the commitments are written: every agreement includes named session windows, guaranteed response times, and a continuity commitment — if an engagement ever has to pause, it extends day-for-day and you hold a pro-rata cancellation right. Nothing about my availability will ever surprise you mid-engagement; it's all in writing before we start.
The work itself is plain: the Walkaround (a 30-day diagnostic that produces a Left Seat Brief on your business), then — if the findings earn it — the Panel install and the Right Seat cadence. Fixed fees, agreed before we start, scoped by complexity rather than your revenue.
YOUR DATA
Your numbers stay yours
Everything runs inside tools your company controls, with access you grant and can revoke. Mutual NDA before any data moves. The AI tools used in delivery are disclosed by name in the agreement, configured so nothing you share trains anyone's models. When an engagement ends, the system, the prompts, the workflows, and every deliverable are yours — documented so your team can run and change them without me.
THE TEST
One question worth asking any AI advisor
“Do I leave with a system my team can run — or a relationship I can't end?” Ask it of everyone you talk to, including me. It's the question that separates an install from a dependency, and it's the standard every Left Seat engagement is built to pass.
